This tool helps builders justify the high price tag of units like the Lunos e2. It visualizes the “Energy Penalty” of ventilating a tiny house by cracking a window versus using a Heat Recovery Ventilator.
It features a “Ceramic Core Simulator” that demonstrates exactly how the Lunos system captures heat from stale exhaust air and transfers it to fresh incoming air, retaining up to 90% of your energy.

Window vs. Lunos: Calculate heat loss & savings.
Lunos uses a regenerative ceramic core to capture heat.
Ductless vs. Ducted
How it works: It uses pairs of fans. For 70 seconds, Fan A pushes stale warm air out, heating up a ceramic stone core. Then, the fans reverse. Fan A pulls fresh cold air IN through the hot stone, pre-heating the air before it enters your home. No ducts required.
How it works: Requires ductwork. Warm exhaust air and cold fresh air pass each other in a radiator-like core without mixing. Heat transfers through the thin metal/plastic fins. Great for constant flow, but takes up ceiling space for ducts.
